With no class to teach, nor meeting to attend, my entire day was spent engaged in mid-term student assessment and reporting.  Or 'marking' as it used to be called.  At the end of such a day, it was good to wrap up with colleagues and a beer at Bizim Tepe for an hour where they had several beautiful floral table decorations to bring some much needed Autumnal cheer. 

Not really living through the best of times just recently, and to add insult to injury, the cold virus that finally found me on Monday after visiting most of my friends, now means I boom in basso profundo - that is when I stop coughing long enough to say anything at all...
