Remembrance....

Having developed a rotten cold over the last few days I hadn't been out much. But I was determined to attend a talk one of my colleagues had prepared. 

It was about the students and staff of the former Teacher Training College at Crewe, who had fought and died during The Great War. It was a very interesting, personal and moving talk. The presenters had thoroughly researched their subject from our university archives.

And this is the plaque that was put up in the Delaney Building on the campus in 1919 in their memory.
