Earth Excitement

The Hobbits have finally hit Middle Earth. The red carpet world première was this afternoon and the rest of us plebs can see the movie from tomorrow. Wellingtonian's apparently packed the streets around the Embassy Cinema (some started gathering last night to ensure a good possie) and what you see here is the latecomers who gathered at Waitangi Park to watch proceedings on a big screen. Personally, I had no intention of trying to see the main event, happy to call in here, grab a photo and bike home for a beer in the sun.
