It is a challenge this time of the year, old flowers are dying and the new flowers are not quite yet ready, like the cactus and amaryllis etc... So this is my old stand-by: the freeway flower as I call it. It grows everywhere in bushes and spreads from one place to the other all over the area including at the side of the freeways. We have one in the garden that came as a volunteer.
