Youth tribute

The village youth group mounted their tribute to the fallen this afternoon in the churchyard. The silhouette of a soldier had been made by a local craftsman and hundreds of poppies had been created by the young people from the bottoms of plastic drinks bottle which they had painted. They had also painted stones to resemble poppies which they scattered on the grass. The result is very effective. Well done 'The Port Youth Group' (see extras)
