Many hands...

..definitely make light work of planting more than 245 plants, digging the holes, planting the natives, placing cardboard around the plants to stop the weeds and grass growing, and then wood chips on top.
About 45 people turned up to help transform a large area by the creek. All volunteers, and all working well together for a couple of hours.
The main photo is the last of the wood chips being placed. The extra photo shows part of the transformation made today.
A beautiful morning tea (donated by local cafes) finished the morning .
What a great way to help the environment one plant at a time, and to meet the other wonderful volunteers. A great way to spend a Saturday morning.
