The Office

First visit into "The Office" since I left 5 years ago. M on the left is sitting in my desk enjoying a view over the Thames.  When I moved to this office 15+ years ago I had a lovely office to myself with an amazing river view  but we soon got packed into open plan desks. It  seemed like a ghost town today,  not just because it's Friday but because businesses and departments have been transferred, sold and generally cut. Pretty depressing  for the younger employees but M and H here are hanging on until they can retire.  Took them out for lunch because we needed something substantial to soak up yesterday's excesses.  I'm amazed they made it into the office.
