A wild day

Dramatic waves coming in this morning.
The breakers were reaching the top of the beach, so I walked round the coast a short way. Too windy to go far.

Garden club AGM tonight, craftily arranged on the same night as the Christmas social. If you want cake you have to attend the meeting first.

I baked a date and walnut cake. Then, since it looked OK, made a second one for the hall teas.

The sticky toffee icing is especially good, so I'm planning to have some left to eat on its own. Baker's reward.
