Pectopan

I took this one for Rapunzel. It has always amused us seeing the use of the cyrillic alphabet in this sort of way. I'm not sure what Robert Peel would have made of the connection between the forerunners of the police and the Russian writing.

It's particualrly funny to see the Pectopah writing. When we went to the Soviet Union (when it was indeed the Soviet Union, and the Cold War period) we liked to read this sign in English, when in fact it did almost say 'restorant'.
