The Bells Rang Out

Armistice Day, the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month - when the guns fell silent in Europe, and what would become known as World War I ended. One hundred years ago today.  At church we had a 2 minutes silence, then the church bell sounded across the neighbourhood.  Extra 1 is of the flowers at the local Cenotaph, extra 2, the Cenotaph, extra 3, is of the church flowers, and extra 4 is of the Wanaka Roll of Honour.  The hymn for today is 'In Christ Alone.'

I have walked 10,000 steps on this beautiful sunny day.  Looking forward to the walk tomorrow.
