NORTH TRANSEPT

Durham Cathedral. The choirs I belong to were sitting inside the North Transept during the Festival of Remembrance and then singing at the crossing under the Tower. We were just out of reach of the thousands of poppies that rained down the inside of the Tower during the Silence at the end, but they carpeted the crossing when we went back down the aisle. It was very moving.
