REMEMBERANCE AND REGRETS

I don’t know what my Granddads did in the wars, which is sad but far too late to find out now. My maternal one was born in 1901 and may have been deemed too young for WWI, the other I never met. I know my Dad was in the Navy in WWII and patrolled the waters around Shetland. I only found out that last bit recently and though my Dad is still living it is also too late to ask him anything too. Regrets aplenty.

My blip is if my maternal Granddad’s silver cigarette case, his 21st birthday present and now in my keeping. I gave it a real good polish today Grandad x
