Industrial Heritage?

It looks as though the Cockenzie Power Station is to be moth-balled and the chimneys removed. Does this mean a part of our industrial heritage, an iconic feature of the landscape of the Firth of Forth will be lost or will a blot on the landscape thankfully be removed? I'm on the fence!
