After the parade
Remembrance Sunday always brings the military to the cathedral. This year, of course, it was a very big event, and the service was relayed out into the Close. There were hundreds of people down there, the place was packed. So I was there as well as we waited for the laying of wreaths ceremony round the war memorial.
And so many wreaths were laid. They arrived in a stack of flat boxes, like a giant pizza delivery. I took pictures of lots of people, including the Bishop and the Dean and the press and a colour sergeant and an important-looking Military Policeman and the mayor, but in the end I liked this shot best, of a slightly anxious young cadet outside Iceland, who, like me, was waiting to be picked up after the parade.
After which the day disintegrated into a suitable Sunday pub lunch with my sis and Jax at The Chestnut Horse in Easton. Very nice indeed!
Hope your day's been good too and that the week starts well for you xx
