Sunrise at Calais

I managed to get an early crossing this morning so was back home before lunch. The homecoming was not quite as planned as the heating was not working and the phone and Internet are dead. I succeeded in fixing the heating by giving the port valve a good thump but there is a fault on the phone line so the telephone and Internet will not be fixed before Wednesday at the earliest. Five of the local towers are ringing for the Armistice. I shall probably put in an appearance at a couple of them but not all as I’m quite tired after three days of driving.
