Play4Peace
We had the pleasure of attending the Play4Peace Concert of Cooperation at Edinburgh Napier University-Craiglockhart Campus. This is where the Military Hospital was based where Wilfred Owen and Siegfried Sassoon met, and wrote many of their war poems.
The concert was thoughtfully and carefully put together and featured a new orchestral piece written by Thoren Fergueson. It was performed By The Watsons school orchestra and a live link was made to other orchestras playing in 'real time' across the globe.
There were of course poetry readings by children from local schools, and a number of violin pieces played on the Wilfred Owen violin made from a sycamore tree grown on the campus.
