Irvine Beach

We were down at Ardrossan visiting close friends, J and K.  After a delicious lunch (everything on the table was gluten free) we went for a walk at Irvine beach and beach park.  I hadn't been there for years, my children were all talented athletes and often competed in the Scottish National Cross Country races at Irvine during the winter months.  The beach park area has changed, not in a good way, there had been a large sports centre there in the 90s and after racing the youngsters would go in for a swim or an ice skate, sadly the Magnum Centre was demolished some time ago and K was telling me the builders are hoping to get the land for houses.  It made me feel a bit sad remembering how busy that area was.  Anyway, we had a really lovely walk and Breesha loved rushing around in the stormy sea.
