Flighty Hummers

Another early start on a Quetzal hunt which ended up with us on a balcony of a house and shooting one that flew in and perched right in front of us which was amazing.

After breakfast I went with a small group back to the original Quetzal site of yesterday and saw a few in the trees but they were quite difficult to photograph. 

 In the afternoon we had the most amazing time photographing hummers in flight with a flash set up which was incredible fun. Paired up taking turns we shot the hummers which flew in from the garden onto different flowers. The action was fast and furious; the different species of hummers just fighting each other to get to the nectar and the triggers on the cameras were going so fast it seemed like they were on fire! Utterly incredible in every way!
