The bracing North sea air!
Sheringham. (again see Large)
A very bracing walk along the promenade at Sheringham this morning.
The North wind was whipping up the waves, but blowing the rain away.(for a time anyhow)
A few seagulls braved the beach, but it wasn't a day for building sandcastles!
The sea wall also acts as a promenade, and the wooden structures you see jutting out into the sea are called groynes .
It is a small seaside town which grew from a fishing village, when the railway came in Victorian times.
It still has an old fashioned charm, and hasn't changed much since MrC came on holiday here, back in the 1950's.
Inspite of the mixed weather, I will be sorry to leave North Norfolk, and head back home tomorrow.
Still we will be back again next year!
