Remembrance
We walked into town this morning to do a few shopping errands. On our way home we walked through the Brampton Park. I was struck by the poppies leading up to this statue in the grounds.
I found out later that they were planed by children from a local nursery to commemorate the end of the First World War.
The statue was originally unveiled in November 2014 to mark the start of the First World War. It depicts a nurse reading a letter sent to her to inform her of a family member has died in battle.
