Remembrance Sunday
We went to the special WW1 100 years commemoration service at our local church. All the knitted poppies were there, the church was packed and they did a lovely job with poems, music , films and photos. The last post was blown at 6.55pm, followed by refreshments. A touching village event.
Despite my family history research I do not know the name of any of my ancestors who died in WW1. I am sure there are some and I wish I knew their names so that they are not forgotten.
