Orthodox Cathedral of Ss Cyril and Methodius

Cyril and Methodius came to Prague / Moravia around 800 AD at the request of the King who had turned against the German missionaries from Rome. Their great innovation was to introduce worship in the Slavic language (not Latin) and at the same time create an alphabet for that language. The Orthodox Cathedral is a former Catholic church, and more widely known as the site of The Heydrich Terror - where Czech resistance fighters committed suicide in the crypt rather than be taken captive in 1942. However the church itself is peaceful and prayerful.
