A first for everything

Saturday, we were up early for Sugar's very first Swim Meet.  Even though she has been swimming for a few years now....she hasn't wanted to compete.  I have let her take that lead until this year.  It may be her last year to swim, so I wanted to do at least ONE Swim Meet.  So this was it.  Guess what?  It wasn't all the horrible things she thoughts it would be.  She swam in a Freestyle Relay, a 100m Freestyle, 100m Backstroke, and a 50m Breaststroke.  She did great, and felt proud of herself.  When I asked if she would go to another meet, she said, "Yes!"  Sometimes it's the unknown that holds us back.
