The life & times of Jacks

Day 2 was a very early start - hard but totally worth it to enjoy watching the sun rise over Paris.

Friday stayed relatively dry although incredibly cold.  After some time at the first location, the next stop was towards a really interesting bridge and which took us to the site of the Paris version (I want to say original?) of the Statue of Liberty.  Shortly afterwards we walked around and closer to the site of the Eiffel Tower at which point the sun was starting to well and truly shine.

Next we continued to walk towards the building hosting the Paris Photo exhibition which was included in our tour.

Helen and I weren't overly enamoured with the exhibition - much of it felt "Artistic for artistic sake" and much of it also needed explanation.  The one part I think we both liked was the New York Times "Hard Truths" section.  It was really hard to look at but massively emotionally moving.

We met back up with the group and then back to the hotel and then onwards to dinner and yet more amazingly tasty French food and a wee bit of wine.

Absolutely packed day.
