The Christmas Cactus.

I have named this cactus after my mother who sadly passed away 2 years ago. This plant grew bigger each year in her dining room over the previous 20, or so, years - despite her best attempts at killing it off. I took it upon myself to look after it when doing the house clearance and despite my attention it continues to thrive and is producing a large number of flowers just in time for December and the Festive Season.

I think next year I'll take some cuttings just in case it does finally go the same way as its carer of over 20 years. If successful with the cuttings I may be brave enough to attempt to repot it. Something it should have had 15 years ago at least.
