Monday: Pork

I do love the fact that Remembrance Day is a public holiday here.  As the 11th fell on a Sunday this year, today was the public holiday.

K. and I had a nice long walk along Acadia Beach - the weather has continued to be amazing.  We then had a slice of pie at 'Aphrodite's', before browsing in a local bookshop.  Another bookshop next door had a box of free stuff outside - I was surprised to find a Murakami in there.  They're normally pretty hard to find in second hand bookstores - seems people don't like to give him away.  Anyway, 'A Wild Sheep Chase' has now come home with me.

It's rare to find graffiti in Vancouver but seemingly it does exist.
