Operation Christmas Child

My friend Isobel sitting amongst some of the goodies as we started packing all these boxes that are to be distributed to children around the world who otherwise may not get presents at Christmas time.
We have done 25 with some church folk filling boxes (shoe box size) and the community giving generously bits and pieces as well as money. Each box goes with a ten dollar note to help with transport charges. We went shopping today with some of the donated money and bought tee shirts and undies, pencils notebooks toys etc Such a fun thing to do and hopefully will bring joy to some less fortunate children.
I had already done two and had such fun finding nice bits and pieces of kids jewellery, clothing etc
We will probably do it again next year but will start earlier in the year gathering up stuff and perhaps sewing and making things to go in them.
