Feel good factor
I drove over the hill to my favourite dress shop in my favourite Surrey Village. The shop is in a cottage accessed by a latch gate into a side alley, decorated with pot plants. You feel good even before you get inside! The feel good factor worked, and I bought some lovely items.
The sun was shining on the way home, and I had the sunshine roof open as I drove through the narrow lanes. What a good morning!
You may be interested to see the way the walls of the cottage are built, with tiny flints inserted as a pattern between the stones. This is very typical of buildings on the greensand ridge in Surrey and Hampshire.
