Porcelain Fungus

On my usual Tuesday morning walk in the Chilterns I came  across an old beech tree with lots of porcelain fungus (sometimes called poached egg fungus or slimy beech cap fungus) running high up its trunk. The view from the underside shows its highly translucent cap.
