The Old and the New

The earthrace is on a tour of the Bay of Islands and today ventured up the Kerikeri Inlet to the Stone Store at the Kerikeri Basin. The Earthrace set a 60 day around the world record last year and runs on Biodiesel, with a zero carbon footprint.
Just after noon it passed the jetty at Rangitane. The other boat in the shot is Idaho, which hasn't left its mooring in the 11 months we have been here, and probably much longer than that !
