Down our way - the major news is the arrival of the Co-Op!

The building has been the village shop for a long time - as far back as 1929 in this old image.  Recently it has been through a variety of low cost brands, Londis, CostCutter etc but the owner wanted to sell so now it has been refurbished and is a branch of the Co-Op.

In the extra - the poppies are still looking good, so I took the chance to photograph them without the crowds of Sunday morning.
