A Snip

I am happy to report that the AGM went well (see yesterday) and there were no complaints from the members. In fact I thumped the table and said what good value our society is - only £38 a year for 9 great talks and loads of visits and trips. Let's hope we get some more members. 

The talk after  the AGM was about the art and history of war memorials. It was great with a brilliant speaker who spoke for an hour without notes. It looks like the re was a Dan Cruikshank tv prog last night on the same subject but I am glad I got the live version.

Here's to another year in the chair. It's a super club.
