Stop, look and listen

A wet day but a good day to get jobs done, including dropping off a get well card for a friend who lives across the railway line in Burneside - in fact you have to use the phone to contact the crossing keeper who will either you grant permission to take your car across the lines, or will ask you to wait until the Windermere to Kendal train has passed. It seems rather quaint, but the system works.
