Life's a Beach . . .

Being south was stressful and emotionally draining. When someone is dying of cancer, deteriorating before your eyes, all you can do is try to make their days and nights more comfortable. It is dreadfully sad. I have done all I can do, and so have come home, and the family is being supported and helped by wonderful Marie Curie and Macmillan nurses.

Back home I headed for the beach with Ollie and we ran up and down, in and out of the breaking waves, laughing and careering around like idiots. The sheer exuberance of being out in the fresh air, back with Ollie, in the wind and the sun, was just what I needed to recharge my batteries!
