Standing Guard

Meet Trooper, standing proudly in a pets' memorial garden at the Upper Credit Humane Society shelter in Erin, just a few miles from Georgetown.

A starving lab cross, Trooper was rescued from abuse in 2007 and. after being nursed back to health, became the ambassador of the society, helping raising thousands of dollars for other animals through the Trooper Fund.

Trooper died a few months ago and is now commemorated in Trooper's Forget-Me-Not Memorial Garden at the shelter.
