Verdant Works, Dundee

The former jute factory (for which Dundee was famous in the last century - jute, jam and journalism) is now a great museum giving an insight into the life and work of the times. Living conditions were appalling with women’s life expectancy only 33 years and one out of two children dying before the age of 2.
