BLECH.

A considerable time after shutting there's a change in the activity level around the old bit of the museum. The rear looks like it's been emptied inside to form a fascinatingly vast-feeling space similar to the strange vastness of the space of the large hole next to the old bit before the new bit was built in it. It would have been an appropriately Darwin-day thing to allow members of the public to sneak into the large, reverbrative space which previously housed the natural history exhibits for a rendition of All Things Dull and Ugly; a pity that the main bit of the museum is shut at the moment as they could probably have drummed up some extra business out of the anniversary celebrations. Perhaps by getting a young-earth creationist in to attempt to explain their theories with thousands of pieces of contrary evidence arrayed around them.
