John Bartram

Today I was house bound looking after my poor Mum who has been most unwell with a tummy virus.
So what to Blip? I decided to tell you about this remarkable book written by John Bartram who as, for thirty years, head gamekeeper of Richmond Park, was in charge of the welfare of the world famous herd of deer in Richmond Park. He retired in 2016. 
“Park Life” is a treasure trove of John’s stories and memories, delightfully written.
If you are interested in the Red and Fallow deer in our London Parks this book is a must – I have learned so much from it.
