L’olio nuovo

We took the olives to the mill where there was much milling around, waiting for our batch to go through and the oil to come out. (See extras).

207kgs made about 36 litres of oil that were scrupulously shared between the condominium’s six families.

The oil is naturally delicious although because harvest was a month later than last year less perky and peppery as many olives had fully ripened. Still I’m not complaining.

The wind has turned to the north and winter is waiting in the wings.

Brexit is all consuming.
