Our hotel is Aswan overlooks a very sheltered offshoot of the river, home to many birds. These are laughing dove, hoope, heron and cormorant and crane I think! When I woke up this morning I thought that the people in the next room had left their digital alarm ringing, I then opened the curtains to find a hoope sitting on the balcony making the noise. I love the colour of the laughing dove.

As we flew back to Cairo we encountered a sand storm. It was really strange as colours took on a different hue. The extra shows the sun and it is straight out of the camera without any editing. It was like being in an alien landscape.

Back home now to do the unpacking and washing. Hey-ho! Back blipped the last few days.
