Double take

There are surprising things to be seen looking up...

Bear in mind when you look at this photo, that I live in a fairly sleepy, commuter village, not somewhere renowned for its student population. I was, therefore, a little taken aback by what I spotted on top of this lamppost as we walked down to pre-school at lunch time.

I'm not going to speculate about how (or why!) - even when I was a student such things were a mystery to me!
