Thistle

Bottom of the table clash at the Falkirk Stadium today as the Bairns played host to Partick Thistle. A win for Falkirk would have seen them leap-frog Thistle and move away from the bottom spot, while a win for Thistle would have placed them five points above the Bairns.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw and it was a fair result, all things considered. Most Falkirk fans, myself included, reckoned that when Thistle scored their opening goal, there was no way back for the Bairns. We're a team that don't look like scoring very often, however we equalised within a minute or two. Most of us would have settled for a draw before the match began, so weren't too unhappy with the day's proceedings.
