Nuthatch

When I got my new camera, I also got a (new to me) Canon 100-400 zoom lens with a view to photographing birds for a change this winter.
Well today was the first time I have actually managed to get to the local nature reserve to sit in the hides and try to get some shots.
I don't actually like pictures of birds on feeders, but as this was a bit of an experiment I hope you can forgive me.
I was really taken with this little Nuthatch Sitta europaea who visited time and again to feed on the sunflower hearts, they are such smart little birds. I have also included a shot of a beautiful Greenfinch Chloris chloris, which is quite a rarity these days
