It's a public holiday today - Prophet's birthday which is on Tuesday, but the Dubai government called the holiday today, which is nice. G woke early and went down to clear a cupboard in church which contains Awana resources; I got on with the ironing.

We had a trip up to Ras Al Khaimah later - to get out of the city. We ended up in the area where all the churches are sited. Interesting to see it because we were there at the inauguration of the Anglican church in RAK. It was out in the middle of nowhere, and you couldn't place it. Now, there are several large churches and a proper car park. It looks so different!

We came home via Festival City to do a much-needed shop, and then the evening vanished - as they do!
