A phone photo (why did i go out without a camera?) taken from the new (1800s) Crook church looking up the hill towards the remains of old church high up on the hill with the track I considered walking slowly up on my own but it looked a bit muddy and I did not want to slip. Went to watch more films at the Kendal Mountain Festival. 2 that stuck in my mind were a) a 60 yr old mother and daughter who treked 2300 km from Vancouver to Alaska, it took six months and the weather was awful and b) about a group of women in Afghanistan who wanted to learn to climb a mountain to prove what women could do knowing that they might be murdered afterwards as a result.
