2018 Friday — On Our Way
After morning obligations at the campus (a freshmen composition assessment) we were on our way to Cayucos on California’s Central Coast. We originally thought we be headed there yesterday afternoon . . . but, oh well.
In this photograph we are on Highway 101 and we are overlooking Avila Beach, San Luis Bay, and the lighthouse at the Port of San Luis. This is one bay south of Cayucos, which is situated on Estero Bay.
We are approximately 40-45 minutes from our place. We almost never drive up this late in the day, but we just decided to do so because we didn’t want to be on the highway tomorrow, which is my birthday.
So this part of the journey is getting exciting . . . the ocean is in view . . . and just around the bend is our lavender place.
