Another day...

...another rowing competition!

Up at 6am on a Saturday to get this boy to Motherwell for a 4 minute race at 09:08. Need to have him there an hour before. The wee fella was not all that impressed again at forming part of his brother’s cheerleading/support team but he mellowed :-)

I was fine once I was out the door and the morning air hit me...so we all headed off with MrR too.

And the boy rowed well. I thought he’d started off too strong but he managed to keep the pace up for the four minutes and finished 190 metres ahead of the next lad.

And that was it...all done and dusted for him by 09:12...apart from the medal ceremony.

That said he had Club colleagues racing so we were cheering them on too and all in all it ended up a very successful day for Stirling Rowing Club.

Back home me and the Mr dragged ourselves out for a run as we missed parkrun this morning...dragged ourselves out but by the end of the 8km we were grateful that we had.

Then the day took a gear shift down...cooking...eating...The Polar Express, the first movie of Christmas!

Grateful for a different rhythm to this Saturday.
