Truth telling

Of this sparkly pumpkin my mom said, "I was supposed to give this to someone else, but I just kept it." If that's not the whole truth, it's certainly in the spirit of it.

We had a good outing to the symphony then dinner together at Silverado. Several times she brought up death. "I guess they won't kill me," she said as we pulled into the Silverado parking lot. And, "You won't get killed, will you?" as I was saying good bye.
