Giggles
Another lovely morning and I offered to take the little ones for a walk whilst Mt&H cleared things into and out of the garage (a seemingly never ending task!). I headed for the garden centre across the fields....a mistake! It turned out a lot muddier and so harder work than I'd expected. About half way there I really wondered what on earth I was doing, but it was no good going back at that stage. Every time I stopped to take a rest or clear the mud off the wheels AR asked 'Why we're stopping Dodo?", and when I explained, she'd follow up with another 'Why?'.....had to count to 10 a few times!
We could hear music and a PA system all the way across the fields, but when we arrived it seemed we'd just missed the big winter parade/arrival of Santa. So not only didn't we get too see anything but we arrived as everyone thronged indoors and headed for the cafe...bang went our planned coffee and cake...
We took a look at the singing reindeer that AR loves then battled our way through the crowds and headed home on the pavement this time...much more straightforward!
When we got back to the house they'd done all their jobs so we set off for lunch with A&N, T&Kt and P. Went to a lovely Turkish place and we had a raucous but jolly lunch. P seemed well and his hearing is definitely still better than it used to be.
T and Mx as usual were getting on like a house on fire - playing at throwing stuff on the floor and picking it up again (and repeat ad infinitum!) - between them eating everything put in front of them. Mx loved the great pillows of freshly made bread and the dishes of hummus, T mainly gathered the grilled meats around him!
After lunch I headed for the motorway and home. Easier journey than on the way down, but it's felt like a short weekend.
