Cosy
Friday
Today, we were getting ready for our departure tomorrow to Salt Lake City to spend Thanksgiving week with our daughter and son-in-law. I was doing some ironing and packing in the morning, while Roger was doing a few odds and ends, then we needed to go shopping for a few things, and decided to have lunch out on the way, at Panera. It was a cold dreary day, so it felt nice and cosy to sit next to their central fireplace. At the table next to us there were three ladies playing a sort of 3-D Scrabble game, which they seemed to be taking very seriously, each deep in concentration with their Scrabble dictionaries, and didn’t appear to be talking much! We had a pretty productive shopping trip, using a 20% off voucher, so that’s always good (!), then back home to finish packing. Having had a good lunch out, I was able to fix a quick supper of soup and salad, finishing off various items in the fridge, and then we had a fairly early night, since we have to be up early in the morning!
